The brand
From Herzogenaurach boots to Suede culture
Puma starts with a family split in Herzogenaurach. In 1948, Rudolf Dassler, after separating from his brother Adolf, founded his own company, first called Ruda and then Puma; the Atom football boot was one of its first products.
The brand became easy to read from the side. The Formstrip arrived in 1958, the Suede appeared in 1968 and moved beyond sport into basketball, hip-hop and breakdance culture, while Pele wore Puma King at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.
In Tbilisi, that history shows up as a mix of football, terrace, motorsport and fleece categories rather than one fixed collection. Suede, RS-X, Palermo, Speedcat, Cali, Essentials fleece and football boots come through regularly, but colours and sizes change with each delivery.
